I am in my 9th year of teaching. I have my reading specialist certification, and a master's degree in special education. I have always taught at the elementary level, which includes a variety of grades and subjects. My first job was actually teaching preschool with parents. It was an amazing program where parents spent part of the time working with an adult educator so they could earn their GED. The other part of the time they were with their child and me and we were doing lots of literacy and math activities that they could do at home! I love the little ones, but I also love working with reluctant older readers! Nothing makes me happier than helping students develop a love of reading.
