I love David Shannon! He has such a variety of books. I use his picture books with older children because they are great for teaching cause and effect!
Goodnight Moon was my favorite bed time story growing up as a child.
Wonder is such an amazing story with so many wonderful lessons. It is a great book to really analyze characters and how character's actions impact the plot.
Goodnight Moon is so dear to my heart because every time I see or hear it I am reminded of when my first son was 2 and we would read it every night. He could recite it by memory and it would melt my heart every time. I can still hear his little voice saying "and a bowl full of mush" in a 2 year old way. Thanks for sharing your favorites! I have never heard of Wonder so I am off to research more on that book. I linked up also if you want to check out my favorites.

My children loved Goodnight Moon, too :) Hopefully they will read it to their children.
DeleteHey Bridget! I love your great choices! I am very curious to check out Wonder, and my daughter LOVED Hugo when she read it last year.
ReplyDeleteHugo has the best illustrations. Wonder is an incredible story!!!
DeleteLoved your choices. I'll agree they're all great books. Classrooms and libraries couldn't go wrong with any of them.
